Photography
Everybody is a photographer today! With access to very good and reasonably priced phones and cameras, most of us like to click anything that catches our eyes. In my younger days, in India, photography was a very expensive hobby. As a young doctor in (Manali, Kullu Valley), I had acquired a SLR 35 mm Agfa camera from an Australian friend, who had upgraded himself to a better one. I used to ask my overseas friends on way to India to bring one processing paid 35 shot color slides film. I was so careful with loading the film that I managed to get more than 37-38 frames from the same film. For prepaid processing, the film had to be sent to Bombay. We used to eagerly wait (3-4 weeks) to get back the mounted transparencies to see what I had captured. It was a delight to recall beautiful scenes and people in the Himalayas and self admiration for good shots. The snow scenes, most exotic people and dresses, local dances all were a delight in the evenings when we did not have anything other than a transistor radio for entertainment.
Some of those glimpse of seventies and what has evolved since then are recorded here for those interested.
My interest in photography is far better expressed by Mihaela Bucur, Why I photograph nature:

Lesotho: I lived and worked in Lesotho from 2013 to 2015 and I still go there for project work intermittently. It is a fascinating country of adorable people with extraordinary character.
